The Bears have been here before.
Underdogs at home to the Green Bay Packers.
Yes, the same Packers team that just barely beat last year’s worst team the Carolina Panthers.
The so-called experts say the Bears don’t stand a chance. Now, granted there are several factors–on offense–that are troubling.
Piss poor offensive line. Third tier receivers. Tight ends who don’t understand the meaning of a blocking tight end. A quarterback that is almost killed every time he drops back to pass because of all of these said factors.
But the Bears have the one thing that the Packers don’t–and wish they could–have.
Devin Hester.
There is no single player in the NFL who has the chance–every time–to break free and change the course of a game.
Last season when the Bears hosted the Packers in week three, Hester had one of those returns that in fact changed the course of the game and propelled the Bears to a 20-17 win over the hated Pack.
With the Bears offense expected to struggle–it always has–against Green Bay, Hester needs to make a big play to help propel the Bears to victory.
He can do it. He is the Devin Hester.
And he is ridiculous.
